Our technology utilizes existing O&G wells with depleted reservoirs (deeper than 1,000-1,500m) that are flowing without or limited backpressure. We complete the well with an ESP installation and a reversible PMM, which generates electrical power on the same commercial model as existing PSH. Surface water flows continuously through the tubing and turbine, generating electricity as it passes through the turbine installation.
HOW IT WORKS?
Sustainable Energy System
During times of electricity need, water from a shallow underground aquifer is used to generate electricity. When surplus electricity is present, the unit reverses to pumping mode, recharging the aquifer and creating a fully sustainable energy system. This reduces the power needed from fuel gas or the grid, decreasing OPEX and generating carbon credits.
